These values make our school culture are embedded with a variety of proactive programs that assist and enable all members of our school community to accept responsibility for their actions.
These proactive programs include:

These programs coupled with a wide variety of strategies and reward systems developed by individual teachers and their own class, ensure Windsor State School is a safe and supportive environment in which to learn, work or visit.
Pastoral Care Program
Our Pastoral Care Program is founded in our desire to develop a sense of community. Students are placed in a small House group of students from year 1to 7. Their pastoral care teacher leads the students through a whole of school approach to social skilling. The students explore issues and develop responses to a variety of social skill concepts including self esteem, friendship, bullying and assertive behaviours.
Celebrating Positive Behaviours
This program is designed to recognise and reward the wonderful students in our school who epitomise our school values and expectations. Students strive to achieve Silver and Gold Level status by demonstrating positive behaviours for set periods of time. The school rewards and celebrates these students and their achievement in a variety of ways.
Lunch Time Activities
The school has very few incidents of inappropriate behaviour during play times. This is as a result of a wide variety of activities developed and supported by our enthusiastic staff.
The activities include but are not limited to:
Intra-house Sports competitions
Readers’ Club
Games and Activities Room
Chess Club
Consistent Approach to Inappropriate Behaviour
While the aim of our school culture is for everyone to take responsibility for their actions; there may be times when the school needs to respond to inappropriate behaviour. At all times, students will be treated fairly, consistently and with dignity. School responses range from time-out and detention through to forced disciplinary absences in accordance with Education Queensland Policies and Procedures.
